Some woods must be close by. And that is a huge back yard to make that moose look small.

Moose usually don't just lie around in people's back yards and left foxes sniff around them. I would rather have a live moose in my back yard than a dead one.

There is a bigger moose with him, maybe the mother.
Moose love to hang out in yards with their youngins. I lived in Alaska for a year and saw moose all the time right outside my window, where they liked the shade and warmth in the winter time close to a house.

(and some in my yard) but never one flat on its side. I dunno, horses will lie down like that occasionally so I guess it's OK.
