I don't think I've ever before, or since, heard a Grateful Dead song played in the background in a sit-com.

NFA/GDTRFB

The original Live/Dead - Skull and Roses - the last song on an insanely great album, sealed the deal.

But, as much as I loved the crazy audio fidelity and youthful exuberance of their capabilities in '70 (thanks Alembic!)....later Dead (mid-80's) Live is pretty awesome as well. Brent Midland got the Dead, especially Garcia, and their versions of these American standards are incredible.

Lately, it’s been Eyes of the World.

American Beauty reminds me of many good times spent at the river in my teenage years, and I never tire of Dick’s Picks Vol 3 (just wish there was a Lady With a Fan with the Terrapin).

A little OT, but I once heard a Muzak version of Estimated Prophet in Food Lion. It was surprisingly decent, lol!

The train horns were so LOUD! It was insane, everyone was freaking out. There was a big, super bright white spotlight, too, which looked like an oncoming train.
It’s not one of my fav songs (the radio wore it out), but I’ll never forget that show.

The biggest bulk from from 1966-1974. I rarely listen to their studio albums. But the live shows have been a mainstay for a long time.

That's where the magic happens for me.

Pinned down to non-live studio song/album I'd go with Ripple/American Beauty.

Been a fan for a long (long) time.
