I don't think it's a reflection on you. I've been here since early 2003, so I understand some of it, but it is pretty complicated. Tinoire was an active member here who went off to start her own site/discussion board, Progressive Independent. Quite a few banned members went on to post there, so this wasn't considered a DU-friendly site, though that wasn't the point of the site, unlike some others. I was always friendly with her, since she was also a Dennis Kucinich supporter. I have no idea if she's the same poster as Catherina, but I agree that the post was inappropriate. But what do I know? I've only been here for nine years and I'm usually on the minority side of juries...

You could go into Meta & say that the sky was blue, and a bunch of arguing, accusations, and high drama would break out.


These guys will now play your favorite tune to make you feel better.

DU should have some way of marking them with crime-scene tape.

There are times when DU feels like being suddenly dropped into the middle of a soap opera, or a 1,000 page Russian novel. Who are all these people? What is their relationship? And why do their names all sound alike?

We've all done it, even after many years and many thousands of posts. Crap happens. Don't take it personally.

Meta can be a real snakepit.
