There should be some "safe place"

for those of us who do not wish to be sick of Christmas before Christmas comes. Better yet... those of us who do not wish to be sick of Christmas before THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!

Both my guy and were not really watching the TV this afternoon. He handed me the remote, and I thought to myself, "since we're really not watching, I'll just put on some music."

80s channel: Christmas carols

70s channel: Christmas carols

SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!

Now, these are Pluto channels, and Pluto, on November 18th, already has 4 or 5 stations dedicated to Christmas movies already. If they can create separate channels for Christmas movies, they most certainly can create channels for Christmas music.

I actually do enjoy Christmas... WHEN IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!

Personally, for most holidays, I need about a week. For Christmas, I'll take 2 weeks.

I DO NOT NEED, NOR DO I WANT, 6 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

is how retailers spur us on to buy, buy, buy!

I know what you're saying, though .... not anti-Christmas myself, either, just don't want 6 weeks of it. I like your 2-week window.

One of the local radio stations here started playing Christmas carols a week BEFORE HALLOWEEN.

I love Christmas and all it stands for...from about December 15 until the 25th.

Back when one of the tire companies gave them away every year. Then she'd find them at Goodwill, yard sales, and other places.

Then Mom & Dad bought a house with an intercom system and would play those albums in the mornings to wake all visitors up. At one point we estimated that if he started playing them on the Fourth of July, he would be able to play every single album by New Year's Eve.

When they both were dead, we found all those albums tucked away in a closet. My sister, over a year after Mom died, is still trying to get rid of them...

I absolutely HATE Christmas songs of any kind - and I pretty much have heard any recorded between 1950 and 1980.
