I can't begin to imagine.
Actually, what kind of a truck was that?

(34,136 posts)It gets 13 miles to the gallon. It doesn't care if we driving it empty, or loaded with a horse trailer attached with four large horses inside. 13 miles to the gallon.
That's why the vehicle we use for most driving is a Prius V - 40-45 miles to the gallon.

(10,749 posts)Of the car you mentioned cones in at 39000. Im sure options would raise it but 81000 for a standard-ish truck cant be right.
I know theres a premium for f350 thats in the 70s but a regular f350 starts in the mid 30s. High enough but not obscene.
I bought a tundra 3 yrs ago and the prices today are actually that much higher today.
Bells and whistles will bring it up but not to 80000.

(35,349 posts)have convinced everyone they need a 4x4 SUV or Pickup they cost a fortune. All the domestic manufacturers are
discontinuing their sedans because they make an average of $10000 on one truck or SUV.

(47,487 posts)A nauseated one, really running a second year this time, where the husband has a "surprise" two humongous GMC trucks in the humongous driveway. She runs and grab one and he starts saying no, not this and she stops him, hugs the cab:" I love it."

(15,810 posts)I am buying a truck, and likely this weekend. Itll be DHs retirement truck. First brand new one either of us have purchased. Im fine with it; we can afford it. But we arent spending that much.
Average truck cost is something like $44k. We will spend under that. Itll likely be the last one he ever buys.

(16,173 posts)for the past 18 years and have to change the distributor today due to a POS plastic base that holds the distributor cap down breaking. Has 200,500 miles on it.
Distributor: $150.00/ Install: me but lets figure 4 hours@ $40.00. Not even a payment on a new one.
I use this as a worker truck/manure hauler/lumber carrier and it has a few scratches. Can't imagine a new shiney object in my driveway.
