For those that havent seen it, the series is about the FBIs groundbreaking work developing methods to profile killers with multiple victims. The series starts in the late 70s. The three main characters in the series all appear to represent real life FBI Special Agent John E. Douglas. Although the series is a work of fiction, much of it is based on actual events.

(34,119 posts)coming? Not soon I do not think. The book was outstanding and I think they are doing a wonderful job. I met Jonathan Groff after a showing of Spring Awakening on Broadway. He was such a nice and likable guy, they were all just hanging out and talking to us. So much talent. He is good in this, they all are. The BTK stuff happened in my state and I remember how afraid everyone was.

(8,595 posts)About two years behind season 2, which dropped earlier this year. So, a GoT production timeline, lol.
Great show, though. John Douglas has written some excellent books about his work and career.

(36,827 posts)They start out strong but the writing falls off with the lack of original plots. I don't watch much TV and the few series' I've watched, most I've lost interest by the 2nd season.
What I like about this series is how well researched it is. Obviously many of the cases are condensed for the sake of drama, but there's also many details which are completely factual and happened much in the way they are presented.
