Because most of our patients are homeless. They know what is and isn't important in life. They know the 'War on Christmas' is bogus.
The 'War on Christmas' is conflict-porn for idiots with too much time on their hands, and no genuine problems to command their attention.

(38,559 posts)I know it's a common phrase, but I think doing something "just to piss off" someone is ugly, and so is the sentiment behind it. Perhaps the ugliest sentiment human beings exhibit.
Expending energy for the sole purpose of making someone else angry.... I value my precious time and energy more than that.

And I didn't bring it up to "piss you off."
I just wish all people would re-think doing anything "just to piss off" someone else.

(38,559 posts)She gave me guff about it. "Why don't you say 'Merry Christmas?'"
My response was:
"Merry Christmas. I hope your New Years sucks."
I told her that "Happy Holidays" is a way to wish people well during the holiday season--over all of the holidays. I told her the correct response was, "Thank you."
