(25,816 posts)I can't find the post now, but really? I think it was a post about asshole fans.
Do you really dislike all sports?
Aristus
(66,369 posts)Which is to say: the fairest of fair-weather fans. When the Mariners or the Seahawks are winning, I'm happy. When they're losing, I couldn't care less.
My father was a talented athlete, and bullied me into every sport I ever played, and I was terrible at all of them. I would rather have been reading, but my Dad didn't care. I don't care how much money an athlete makes, it doesn't seem worth the horrible injuries.

(16,379 posts)I'm indifferent to sports, although I enjoy baseball. I finally decided what I didn't like was the loud, obnoxious, spirit of competition. Some people thrive on it but it's not for everyone. I never pushed my boys into sports for that reason. They finally found their love, badminton, and have excelled at the game, so they must be competitive on some level even though I never hear any bravado. It seems to be more about the physics and endurance, at least that's what they talk about. Like me, they are both introverts.

(16,379 posts)I was having to take ibuprofen every six hours for three days until the aching went away. I'm pretty sure I had fever, too. I've decided not to get my second one. I already had zoster, which was also terrible, while I was 16 weeks post-partum, 26 years ago. That was fun; I still have neuralgia from that episode.
I do hope you checked with a doctor regarding the symptoms you had after the first shot and your decision not to follow-up with the second one.......I had a mild headache for a couple of days and that is all. I had some body aches but since I exercise daily I'm never sure if it's just the workout.

(16,379 posts)And that could have caused the side-effects, as well. Both arms were so sore! I would suggest: don't get more than one vaccine at a time.

When a lady of high society
Looked down in all propriety
Upon me in the gutter where I lay
She said "You can tell someone who boozes
By the company he chooses!"
And, the pig got up and slowly walked away.
Cheers!

(63,221 posts)Probably feeling as well as you are. This cold has really sucked, but Benadryl and Vicks Vapo rub are working wonders right now. I also have this roller-ball "Stop Pain" medication that is amazing for head and neck aches so I don't really need any vodka at the moment and don't have any, but a small glass might be nice. Hope you are enjoying your buzz!! an
