Who begged owner to free his dog or to let her have him. This went on for months until her husband planned a surprised: he went to the man & offered $50, if I recall correctly. The man accepted. It was the best surprise b.d. present she said ever had!!

Yes. And there's just something about the person who cared enough to help her.

Although I do it for selfish reasons, too. It's often a form of self-preservation, what with the daily horror show we're all living through. I'm glad it helps you too. Thanks again.

She has such a wonderful disposition, and has a fine personality. I am so glad that she got adopted by someone who truly loved her and cared for her.

One of the things that has me in awe of dogs is how attuned to humans they are. They've been with us for who know how many thousands or tens of thousands of years. And even dogs who've been badly mistreated will still trust and love humans. We hardly deserve that.

But I do love seeing such a wonderful success story.

Some years ago I did volunteer work at a local animal shelter. On weekends I'd work the front desk, and all the dog walkers had to come by to go in and out with the dogs. Very quickly I realized that every single dog wanted to greet every single human they saw or passed by. THAT is what dogs are all about.

What a happy little girl! And what a great person for not giving up on her! I am so happy for both of them!
