Listening to our son playing Wes Montgomery, bumpin on sunset

No news on tv this morning just enjoying the moment. As I sit here with coffee, in my head playing along note for note with him as I sit on back porch. Yesterday we studied the outlaws green grass and high tides he had a two friends over one was from his guitar class.

They played board games ate homemade Stromboli’s and then we jammed. I enjoy it sitting around in living room with guitars and one watt tube amps. Lately amongst the guitar herd we been using my fathers Stratocaster it makes me smile. My one brother brought it to us. It has been sitting in its case since he passed in 2001.

And my son loves it as it is a player the neck is smooth worn from years of playing. Aged with buckle rash and worn from right arm and picking. When it came to us in November I worked on it cleaned the pots and checked the pickups new strings and set it up. And I do not think a day has gone by that it has not been played.

Well everyone is up I’m gonna make omlettes this morning. I’ll have chocolate knucklehead help. Remember man our omlette has to be a couples omlette. And don’t forget the toast man.

I can't tell you how much I miss hearing our son jam on his guitar. In a few minutes I'll send you a link in a DM.
