It's 6:59 a.m. and it's coffee break time.

Emptied the dishwasher that I put running before going to bed last night.

Made a batch of 32 pickled eggs in a gallon jar along with onions and hot peppers. Waiting for the brine I made this morning to cool down before pouring it in the jar.

Bought a couple of rotisserie chickens yesterday for $1.99 each. Skinned an deboned the two this morning and made chicken stock out of the bones and skin. While the stock was simmering, I was boiling and peeling eggs. I'll make chicken noodle soup for dinner later today.

Hand washed the utensils that couldn't go in the dishwasher last night and some of the ones I dirtied this morning. Putting the rest in the dishwasher.

Put food and fresh water out for the dog.

Put food out for the wild turkeys and filled the bird feeder.

Read some posts here at DU and made a few of my own.

Coffee break time is over. The brine should be cool enough by now and I'm going to clean the kitchen counters and bring the garbage out to the storage building.
