(32,696 posts)feel a day over 68. She's a little younger and closer to newly wed as I gave her a ring for Xmas. Alaska, Great lakes or River cruse sound better than sitting in the middle of the ocean to me.
on your upcoming nuptials!

(13,777 posts)But then, we have fun anywhere. But with the cruise no one had to cook or clean, and there were activities and tours if you wanted to participate. We'll do it again.

(32,696 posts)It was the best. Been a couple of times to Europe by myself and those were great, But this was a tour of about 10 college students, 4 adults and a great professor as a guide. Him and I were both anti-fascist before it was cool. We discovered that and hit it off.

I told her if you get a free trip, it'll cost you, one way or another.

(63,912 posts)I've been to Europe 12 times mostly on art related themes but this one is a love boat cruise for our 34th wedding anniversary. Hubby wanted a cruise and is partially handicapped so I had a chore finding one but Road Scholar had one. I just hope he doesn't want to sit on the ship and not go out on the exploration of the towns we are in when we dock. I like to explore and meet the people. Road Scholar is not cheap but not really fancy. I've been on several trips with them (land only) and I have never been disappointed.

(31,395 posts)I prefer a ship with less than 500 passengers.
For those traveling alone, if you can afford Silversea, they have some itineraries where the single supplement is only 25%.

(12,132 posts)Can't wait! will technically be our 5th cruise but my wife doesn't count our first as it was just a 3 night thing on a little boat* to Freeport but I loved it and that was what decided for me that I love cruising. (*Little by today's standards but I bet it was every bit as big as The Love Boat)
We've been married 33 years so I reckon we ain't newlyweds but I hope we also ain't nearly dead...
