(33,643 posts)This song always reminds me of my ex-wife, who basically moved out when I was at work one day ... almost exactly 2 years ago.
I just recently saw her for the 3rd time since then, after previously having spent damn near every day together for 10 years. We had to jointly sign some paperwork. She brought 'our' dogs, who I hadn't seen for the whole 2 years, so that was great. And she seemed alright, and glad to see me, so that was nice. Course, I was basically giving her a bunch of money, so ... there's that.
And I still miss my Pops who passed in October. My little bro is still really struggling with it, spoke to him yesterday. He was a little closer to dad than me cause dad raised him (I was raised by my mom, different lady than his mom) and he lived near dad his whole life, unlike myself. Not that I didn't love my dad dearly, but my bro was really close to him. And his mom is kindof a b*tch, unlike our dad who was cool as hell. So he feels like he lost his only real parent, whereas I still have my mom and stepdad so I think it's a little easier for me to handle. So I'm a bit worried about him cause he's never really seemed 'not alright' in our whole lives but he does ATM.
Anyways, I'm pretty stressed that f***head is about to get acquitted in a f***ing sham kangaroo court proceeding ... as I'm sure 99% of us here are.
Hey, you asked

(33,643 posts)I am about to get a big bump in my credit score next month & then going to refi the house ... should lower my monthly by like $250-350 cause I'm getting outta PMI plus interest is lower now (and my credit better).
Thinking about leasing a new Accord too, which will be my first ever 'brand new car', always bought used before.
So ... kinda excited about all that.
Thanks for your concern

(14,490 posts)Horrible year for losses in my family last year and recovery is slow and painful. My son is here with me and we try our best to support each other considering we both suffer from depression. Thank goodness my daughter lives in town so I can see her often.
We'll continue to ask that question, probably for the rest of our lives.......
