I‘Ve given monthly to the ASPCA for years. I have six charities I’ve given monthly donations to for years. They aren’t large because I’m on a fixed income, but I wouldn’t give them up for anything. I’d rather give up something myself. I know if I were rich I would be a philanthropist. That’s always been my fantasy and my dream.

Just thought when telling you who Takis is, I'd mention his shelter and that he needs donations in case ANYONE reading could send him a bit of cash.

I give to various animal welfare org including ASPCA & HSUS and those donations total much more than I donated to any Dem candidate at the moment. I was just sitting here thinking to myself if that is wise. My reasoning is that critters need $ now. And I'll gladly donate a much larger amt to whomever our Dem candidate turns out to be. And although I have a fav, I don't feel as picky as most here except for wanting our candidate to be *strong enough to beat tRump.* Getting that pos out is priority #1.

I feel the same way about donating to candidates now. I do give to candidates running against Republicans in 2020. it’s become obvious that the Senate has given Trump a pass on his crimes. That makes them even more dangerous than Trump. It clear that he would be hobbled a least somewhat but for them. So they must go.

I think it may be even more important than getting rid of Trump.

Yep, I've donated to other Dems, especially Amy McGrath - sent her money 3xs. (And I donate to UNICEF.) It's just that critters get more funds from me. My old tightwad hubs never objects that those donations because he loves animals as much as I do. And he hates the GOP. And yep, if we had Warren Buffett's cash, there'd be more animal shelters and hopefully less rethugians in our capitol.
