the two times of year we received these mega snow dumps were Thanksgiving,called it tracking snow,and before Valentines day or Easter Sunday. All depending on if the Great Lakes were frozen over or not.
With Climate Change those patterns are not a locked in event. You folks in Central and Eastern Wisconny are now getting the St. Louis Winters. When 50 degrees or more happens in January or even December,you are living Climate change in real time.

I got one inch recently XD, its very rare for me to get snow. 8 inches sounds like a lot comparatively!
