I know it may be difficult to imagine not getting one's daily fix here and on other sites. I, personally, would find it tough to not be on here every day - multiple times a day. I know the same is true of many of us.

Not everyone is me though. Others have different priorities. I suspect that if I didn't live in a solidly, reliably blue state I might be immersing myself in actions on the ground and not just on the web. Those actions could easily fill my days and make me less likely to be here on DU.

That's just me though.

I agree that it could well be a matter of priorities rather than circumstantial inability.

Perhaps she's taking a break. Goodness knows, I can certainly understand. It can be frustrating communicating with allies in a patient manner. Effie is downright professorial in her posts and responses.
Hopefully, she's taking time off to do something wonderful IRL.
