The Airbus 380-800 is great...fly it with Lufthansa often between SFO and FRA.

I’ve never flown a plane that had it, but I’d assume there has to be a limitation on crosswind that was well exceeded, meaning this landing was probably hand flown. Even in those situations you would typically leave the autopilot on until shortly before landing. So all you have to do is maintain the profile. The trickiest part is keeping it on the runway and not exceeding any side load limitations on the landing gear.

... That aircraft is such a massively amazing feat of engineering... I'm sad that Airbus discontinued the A380 program last year. I've loved that design from afar since its conception, but I've never had the privilege of being a passenger in one.
