I'm no classical expert (more into Americana folk/blues), but this is one of the most evocative pieces of music I have ever enjoyed.

Imagine if you will, a small mountain rainfall that meanders through it's journey until it reaches the end of it's travel at the mighty ocean....

I live beside a river, nothing like your (or Smetana's) meandering mountain rainfall. Guess I should try to fine the origin of the Patuxent! (MD)

Literally within 150 yards. I was on the ocean side of the river, though....dams upstream My bro and sister now live up in North Conway, NH....the Saco River starts on Mt. Washington.

I didn't grow up here, closer to the Hudson in NYC! Was just up in Conn, @ Mystic River.

Not much fresh water input. Now the Connecticutt River....that's got a Moldau type heritage.

Anyways, for all the Mystic Rivers in NE....
