Robert Plant was really cool about it. Before they brought the Indian orchestra out, he kind of quietly asked us to give Nigel a huge ovation adding, "you have no idea how much it means to him." The crowd went nuts when he finished his solo! More than for anything Jimmy played. That was fun.

gave the project to a friend. It was from a kit and not a very fancy one. At the time, I was listening to a bunch of French traditional music, plus there were Irish bands using them to great effect — Planxty, Andy Irvine, etc.

I think there's a Kirk Douglas movie out there where one is played. Don't remember the name but he was a sailor on an old sailing ship.

Very cool instrument.

And I'm trying to remember what was one the flip side. Something with the word saffron in it? They Call Me Mellow Yellow?

Had google been around when his song was playing on AM radio, that would have "trended" in searches. As it is, I'd guess a lot of people dusted off their poorly used dictionary.
