My nephew was a ferry captain, carrying cars up and down the St. Pete/Clearwater coast. Now he's working somewhere up in Pennsylvania with a plan to work his license qualifications up much higher.

I would think with so few roads in that region, a coastal ferry might be worth it.

When I googled it a few minutes ago, I saw the ABC Facebook result and figured that was slightly better source than some rando's post on Reddit.

I don't have a Facebook account either, but I'm not above linking to them if I can't find anything better, or it doesn't seem worth the effort to find something better. In other words, when I'm feeling lazy.

As you said, no matter.

6,203 km seems like a lot, but it is less than 4,000 miles.

Driving 12 hours a day you could make that in less than six days.
