(9,733 posts)What wine delivers the best buzz? (Asking for a friend.)
Aristus
(66,452 posts)Best buzz for the mildest hangover. But that's not what I'm drinking right now. My bottle of "President Hillary Clinton Champagne" is still in the fridge, waiting for January, 2021, and an end to this nightmare...

(7,582 posts)friends bring me wine because I can't afford it myself.......on my third glass.....what about you?
Aristus
(66,452 posts)But I cheated a little with three shots of vodka. And 10mg of cannabis tincture.
Long week in clinic.
Godspeed the end of this thing...

(22,899 posts)I hope you are doing well. I'm glad you're taking the night off.
If you can find any (even remotely) positive things to say about the current crisis, I'd love to hear them.
If not... well, don't.
Trying to hang there...

(66,452 posts)So many artists are offering their gifts for free during the pandemic. People are waking up to the fact that the arts reflect our true humanity, not greed, not money, not power, not any of it.
Art...

(31,203 posts)That was a BS thread and thanks for your comments.
I can't even begin to count how many units we assisted in deploying ti the NTC and the JRTC.
Thank you.
That was kind of a 'conspiracy theory' thread.
JRTC...
Haven't heard that term for a while.
I once snuck off base at the JRTC during my unit's rotation there to meet up with a girl. The night had a happy ending...
(I'm only telling you this because I'm drunk and stoned...)

(31,203 posts)ships for the Army Reforger exercises in the late 70s.....our support facility was Ft Polk. Much later, I worked for a defense contractor and had to go to Ft Polk in 2005. It was like a time warp...the same used car lots, fast food joints, strip joints etc were still there. Maybe different names, but they were still there. Last time I was there a couple of years ago it was the same with the exception of Walmart and a lot of small businesses gone.

(5,240 posts)She is giving birth to her first child as I am writing this. I live in Madison. I was tested for covid-19 last week because of my age and symptoms. The test was negative and my symptoms are gone. I'm getting conflicting opinions and I'm not sure what to do.
Care to wade in?
If you're negative, go.

(2,584 posts)I know we all want so very much for this nightmare to be over, but I am aware that your work puts you especially at risk. I wish for you to stay healthy, protected, and safe. You are loved.

(66,452 posts)No matter how drunk I get, I always manage to keep a tiny corner of sobriety in my brain, to decrease the risk that I'll say something irreparable.
Thank you for your kind words...
