Haven't tried them yet, but I thought I could find a way to make them work.

N95 mask I had out in the garage. Seem to work okay.

Our group is running out of elastic too but masks that tie also work. Or you can likely find wider elastic and make masks the go around the head instead of over the ears.

But not for that purpose.

I did the numbers based on 14 inches needed for each mask using elastic based on the package lengtns. I get more masks per package of elastic than I would using bias if I did ties. Elastic is cheaper per package.

It’s just getting so hard to find the elastic. Do you have a crafters group you are connected with because we are using my porch as a pick up and drop off. If someone needs fabric or elastic and folks have extra they leave it here.

The stop lock should make it adjustable, yet sufficiently tight

Or just string ties, which are probably superior anyway

It is just a little slower to put on. Hopefully people will be somewhat adaptable to small inconveniences or we are done for.

So that's no good. If the construction industry does not get shut down, I might be able to find it by July.

We're building an addition and put half of our stuff into storage until they are done. One of the rooms that is currently empty will be my new sewing studio.

I've seen masks with shoe laces used for ties, or you could just fold and make ties rather than elastic. Another possibility - they make elastic cord for jewelry making. See if Joann's has any of that still in stock.

It also comes in a bunch of colors.

In a roll she bought. She wants nothing for it because it is for the cause.
