I just finished my first ever video conference with my doctor.

I've had a follow-up scheduled for about a month, ever since I had a minor out-patient medical procedure.

I live in New Orleans, which is pretty hard hit by COVID-19. There was no way in hell I was going to a hospital/medical clinic for an in-person consultation.

All I had to do was download an app, then I video-chatted with my doctor for about ten minutes. The clinic will send a bill for my co-pay which I can pay online. It couldn't have been easier.

I thought it was easy, ok, but half-assed as far as health goes. No weigh-in, no blood-pressure, no urinalysis, no pulse check, no temp check, no thumping on this and listening to that, no drawing of blood for testing.

I got my meds renewed at the pharmacy, but didn't think it was much of a "visit".

The doc was friendly, no usual lecture about weight and diet. She did ask if I felt any increase in stress. Well, duh, it's the times.
