I swear I’m going to order some of those shoulder-length gloves Dr. Pol wears when he’s got his arm up a cow’s ass. These regular gloves just aren’t cutting it. Ugh.

My weekend starts tomorrow, thank gawd.

Using the pythagorean theorem, the diagonal would be about 68 inches. So if you laid the circles out diagonally, would you be able to get two circles at 34d? Probably not, because I'm sure I'm missing a step...

so that is not a useful answer.

OK, I'm winging this....

Area of the square is 2,304 inches. Area of one circle could be no larger than 2,304 inches.

Area of a circle = pi r2

area of one circle max in the square..... 2,304 = pi r 2.....2,304 = 3.14 r2.... 733.76 = r2.....r = 27.08, so diameter = 54.16 for one circle. So two circles would have a diameter of 27.08 inches each?

and to be honest, I would never had solved it on my own. The only math related classes that I took at University were...Statistics, Production Management, Introduction to Calculus, and Business Calculus...and this was about 45 years ago!

But I do appreciate the challenge...every once in awhile I like trying to figure something out that I know I have little to no chance of solving!

For all you New Jersey folks I consider that a high compliment.

In my state the welcome sign should say Welcome to the AZ, where we are 50th out of 50 States in COVID testing.
