I was taken by an online clothing site.

They refused to give me a refund until I canceled my Paypal dispute. They claimed that Paypal would not allow a refund while a dispute was open.

No. I didn't believe them. But Paypal has been shit in the past when I asked for their help, so I gave it a try. The amount should have been $59.07. I received $29. and change.

So, where is the best place to leave feedback on this company?

They never sent the item. They said the item was no longer available. And then they asked me to provide my credit card for a refund. I refused. I made a dispute with Paypal, telling them that I didn't understand why they couldn't provide a refund through Paypal, since that is how I paid them.

Then they said they would provide the refund if I closed the dispute.

Oddly, I found a folder called "Fishpond receipts" on my laptop that I didn't create. It was full of the kind of files that you would need to run a program. Of course, I deleted it and emptied the recycle folder.

Not as badly as you but at least I could post a full blown rant on amazon.
I ordered a cloth mask two months ago. Got the package, finally, and what arrived was a cheap plastic foam piece of dreck that stunk so badly of toxic plastic fumes that there was no way to wear it.
Company said that it would cost more in postage to send it back. They offered 20% of the purchase price. Jumped on that since I didn’t think I would get anything. Pathetic all around.
I left a nasty non-recommendation and bad mouthed them to amazon.

Is there any way you can leave a bad review on their site now? If you have gotten their refund you should be able to rant freely.

from China, and I found “TrustPilot” and left a review. It’s a site dedicated to customer reviews.

Heard a lot of stories about people being scammed. Plus they get hold of your information; email, credit card, address. Call me paranoid, but the Chinese are the last people I want to share any personal information.

and, #fishpond. Trust me, the odds are they will see it, and if they do, odds are you will get made whole. It has worked well for me. I've even gotten a seat on an airline when I'd been bounced because of a Delta mistake.

You start with a dispute, which means you work it out with the seller. Paypal doesn't get involved at this point. I did talk to the seller and he claimed that they couldn't send a refund until I closed the dispute. I don't believe this is true, but I took a leap of faith and got burned.

If I stuck it out, I could have raised the dispute to a claim. In the claim section Paypal decides what to do. I didn't trust the process because of something Paypal did to me a year ago, which is why I took my chances with the Seller.
