It was one of only two beers I had to force myself to finish in forty years of beer-drinking. The other was a Jamaican atrocity called Crucial Brew; with that "beer" the hangover arrived at the end of the first half of one 12-oz bottle. Wretched.

The milder Belgian lambic's such as Timmerman's are OK, I have recently started to drink Cantillion on occasion (not often though!) but I prefer to avoid the strong ones as they can be undrinkable.

Although I was introduced to good beer by somebody who has co-authored books on Lambic beer it's something that I avoided for many years.
