by themselves. If I were rump's campaign manager, I'd be embarrassed as hell and also, how did this get pulled off w/o anyone in the rump campaign even knowing in advance what was happening?
This is a great example of the power of the digital world, with thousands and perhaps 100s of thousands of users, all cooperating with each other, in the new computer age that we live in today.
I am amazed (being an old IT guy) and just flat out proud of these kids and what they were able to do. This is what society is truly capable of doing when it is tasked w/ doing something on this scale. Perhaps one day, this capability will solve an unsolvable problem for mankind, thus saving mankind.
Just think of what can happen (as it is today in crowd sourcing, crowd development using the 'cloud', etc.) if the full capabilities of the internet was used and that $billion dollar companies and other nefarious agents were left in the dark (the media, the trump campaign, the Russians, the Chinese, other nefarious agents, etc.). I would think that this event is going to send shock waves across the entire internet spectrum (AOL, charter, Microsoft, Dell, thousands of other manufacturers of IT products) knowing that such capabilities are within reach of society.
Amazing. I'm really excited now about the future knowing that this is very possible. These kids are stepping up to the plate, performing tasks that government is failing to do, such as deal with shutting down white supremacist websites, sending rump and his campaign a message guaranteed to get attention nationally.
