If you're naming it after Guy, how about "Doucheburgh"?

Could the new state capital be Flavortown, Ohio?

More than 25,000 have signed a Change.org petition to change the name of Columbus to Flavortown, in honor of native celebrity chef Guy Fieri.

The city has already decided to remove the statue of the city's namesake Christopher Columbus from outside City Hall.

The petition argues that the city should take the next step.

How'd we get so carried away about Christopher Columbus in the first place? Gidney N Cloyd Jun 2020 #1

I guess that earns hero worship in some quarters. It certainly predates ‘Italian pride,’ since the push to name every fucking thing after Columbus predates waves of Italian immigration.

It seems like he should have been overshadowed by any number of other explorers, conquerors, and political leaders who came not too long after.

If Lief Erickson had established colonies and set up a genocidal system to exploit the resources of North America, we may be celebrating a day in his honor every year. He didn’t benefit the plutocracy, so he gets ignored.
