Then the indignity of having your treats pilfered by the cat. Humiliating

At least 7 hours to dry him off.

And one person will leave the back door open, and he's out in the dirt and rolling around.

Beautiful dog.

I have friends who had two golden retrievers.
When they remodeled their house, my friends decided to build a walk-in shower. The husband has neuropathy in his feet and this is much easier for him. And then they realized if they built it in just the right way, they could bring the dogs in and give them showers at the same time. Win-win!

my border collie, who loved water. Outdoors in the country for a run he would leap into creeks and swim around. At home, he turned on the handle style faucet in the tub to play in the water. All I needed to do was add dog shampoo and rinse him later.

The real problem was keeping him OUT of the tub when it wasn't time for a bath. And drying him off after bathing. He hated that and always squirmed loose to run around the house shaking water on everything.

Although I think he kind of liked it once he was in there. So cute!
