(7,447 posts)1. About two years ago I found a dog walking to my car
in the parking lot where I worked.
Small dog, took about twenty minutes to get him even close to me.
The trick ended up being using a small stick to trigger his play response, and once that happened he melted.
I was able to get him homed within a few days.
The stray cat the next year took three weeks. I guess people like dogs more than cats around here lol

So happy for the pupper and his rescuer. Thank god for these people that help these poor strays. I hope the pup has a long, happy life.
