My appetite is almost non existent. I eat maybe two meals a day. Sometimes just one. I could live on one cheesy scrambled egg and hash browns, per day. It's my typical reaction to stress/anxiety/sadness. I concentrate on keeping hydrated and wear a belt.

I'm hoping that once I start harvesting from my garden, my appetite will perk up.

I went three months on a single tank of gas - I've hardly been anywhere, driving the car now and then just to keep the battery charged. I don't eat out at all (and was amazed at how much I'd been spending on that), and I order groceries for delivery, which means no impulse-buying at the store. I never entertained anyhow, so that's a wash. I haven't had a haircut since January, and I only use makeup when in a Zoom meeting just so I don't look dead. Never did the mani-pedi thing. I haven't bought any clothes because I wear ancient t-shirts and gym shorts all the time and don't need anything else (right now I'm wearing a t-shirt advertising the 1991 Paris Airshow). I don't buy much of anything that I don't need since I have to order it on Amazon or elsewhere - only e-books. I have become somewhat feral, which does save a lot of money.

I have stopped all take out and am now eating mostly veggies, so grocery bill way down. Reduced eating because I have been sitting. Insurance has gone down.

Stopped my two bottle of wine a week too. Though every handful of weeks I may buy a bottle but the period is stretching out cause I talk myself out of it when I want it.

I had already reduced bills pretty tightly, so there is nowhere else I could see saving money. I have always saved on haircuts. I take my scissors to hair, I do not care what it looks like, it will grow. And never did the nail/toes/massage thing.

I filled my car up on 4/11 then again on 6/11. It should go easily until August or perhaps beyond. I do take each of our vehicles on cross town drive once every 3 weeks to knock the cobwebs off so to speak.

Groceries are much higher it seems.

Restaurants are a once a week carryout thing to support the local ones.

Hobby spending is down as there is no point in buying things for a hobby that involves face to face activities at this time.

General impulse buying at stores in general. It is a pain in the backside to go shopping, even the hardware store and you don't want to be there any longer than necessary, so it's get in, get out and no looking around to see what might be interesting or jump off the shelf into a shopping cart.

Clothing, not that I spent a whole lot on the category anyway, but there isn't much need for a new shirt or such these days, when what one has will do just fine.

I used to go out once or twice a week, and beer is more expensive that way.

Of course, we've saved on restaurant meals, but I miss a good seafood dinner every now and then. Customerservicegal has forbidden me from cooking fish in the kitchen.

I rarely spent much on anything on your list anyway the past couple of years, but now, I don't spend much of anything on food, period. Eating very very simply and incorporating a lot of staples from a well-stocked pantry. Yeah, it is boring and doesn't do much for cravings, but I sooooo hate going to grocery stores right now that I just suck it up. Unfortunately, that means too many carbs so I'm sure not losing weight, no matter how much I do exercise.

and most missed.

Mani/pedis

Hair appointments for cut and color

Eating out

I'm making up for not spending $ on those things buying stuff for the house I'm having built to give up high rise downtown living. There's no reason for me to be downtown any longer. No ballet, no symphony, no eating out at restaurants and no more travel where I just lock the apartment door and go with no worries about an empty house attracting burglars.

So my living circumstances will change a lot by the end of the year when I move in to the finished house. Never thought one year could bring such change.

My wife and I were doing that once or twice a month, sometimes with family, picking up the tab.

Traveling to visit family. We haven't done that since March.

What money we save we send to our local food bank.
