(182,788 posts)My stepfather who turns 91 today found a spot that at low tide we could walk out 100 yards and pick up oysters. We would almost fill up the trunk of his car. I was really good at shucking them at one point.

(9,580 posts)Rays on the River in Atlanta served them with champagne in the shells, add some horseradish and just a touch of red sauce and YESSSS!
In South Padre' Island many years ago, one bar had oyster shooters for only $1 each. Raw oyster, vodka, dash or two of bloody Mary mix, and down they go. So so good!
