Well this was strange....

I got back to my apartment this afternoon after spending the weekend away and found that the bowl that I keep change in (maybe 50 bucks worth) was missing, but nothing else had been taken. That includes an expensive set of binoculars, my laptop and other things. Why would someone just take the change?

My rolled pennies and change from my piggy bank were missing. I later found out it was my brother breaking into my apartment. I blamed the guy who was living with me and threw him out, but that was for the best because he was a loser anyway.

This sounds like someone borrowed your apartment and they invited the wrong person over. Nothing else was missing because the one teenager didn't want to get caught and the other one took your change because that is all he/she could get away with.

used clothes, linen and a suitcase (I guess to carry it all) and a few pieces of my mom's jewelry. We got a footprint outside and took a photo of it but we never caught the robber. Police said maybe he was starting a woman's dorm.
