I have the most au courant dreams!1 This A.M. it was Alec BALDWIN's wedding!1 A report:

I'm not obsessed with celebrities (really!1), just let the news of the day wash over me and what sticks sticks (mixing up here), and I pay more attention to detesting SCALIA than to, say Tom CRUISE. I have only seen about one and a half of a 30 Rock episode, can't say I've ever seen one of Alec's movies, am mainly aware of his being a good Dem, how funny he is, talk show and commercials appearances, SNL, and the startling fracases, the recurring worry that he's really done it now, and now, and NOW!1

Yes, I saw the clip yesterday of him with a pink stuffed animal physically intimidating a paparazzo -- OOoo, I used the hot SINGULAR!1 -- and briefly marveled at how he could have another incident after last week's and this one on the eve of the wedding, but it happened and I let it go, having a separate momentary blink at Katie and Tom's divorce from Scientology. And I think the only movie of his I saw was Risky Business back then and years later fell asleep during a video of the you-can't-handle-the-truth one (General's Daughter?). No, I have not seen Top Gun or Born on the 4th of July. I might have seen Cocktail on t.v., oh, and Interview/Vampire, of which all I remember is not suspending disbelief with all the flying around and the weird face paintings.

So the wedding dream went like this: There I was inside a NY (who knows where the real one was) neighborhood church, large for the rest of the country but homey for NY. It was all like a street performance. No formality, seemingly. Everybody was dressed down, comfortable, including the wedding party. But there WAS pageantry, or theatrics. A troupe of attendants partied themselves up the aisle, not like Elsa's Procession into the Cathedral, more like a medieval hall with jesters and jugglers. And the couple was fully participating up front with their own performances. (I was in the back on the left.)

I was thinking several things, like, well this isn't their first wedding so they've already done the traditional version, and, this feels good, homey, but no mistake, Alec and everybody are hamming it up delightfully, this is like going to a show.

And almost all of the action was up front, but after awhile the couple made rounds all over the church, greeting and welcoming everybody, and then there they were right there with us in the back!1 Alec then launched into a song and dance and I noticed that he had full greasepaint on and his hair was blond. They didn't rush off but let us savor the full impact of their solicitousness of us guests, making eye contact really meaning it before they finally went back up front to start the procession out.

Don't you wish you had been there AS I WAS?!1 Wow, what a subconscious is mine!1
