Watching "Summertime" on TCM

a movie made in 1955 in Venice..
Katharine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi (such eye candy!)

So romantic in a '50s kind of way,
but it's Venice that is the star of this movie.

The filming is so incredible-
the color, the sunlight, the vision that is Venice.

sigh; I wanna go.

Anyone been to Venice?

My first husband and I lived in Germany for two years. He was great about driving all over Europe to see the sights. But when we went to Venice, he wouldn't get out of the car. All I ever saw was a parking lot. We're divorced.
