Well - that was a mistake !

I bought two large baked beef bones at the Farmer's Market for my dogs. Guinness is very happy with his. Pooka has a problem. He can chew on the bone, but he can't quite carry it; it's too heavy. So now, when he isn't chewing it, he's engaging in a low growl even if he's in another room to let Guinness know not to even think of stealing his bone!

and the other is Stella.

my dog is too small for those big bones but she gets that way about her tennis balls. Except they aren't her tennis balls. When we visit my grandpa we often bring our little papillon. Grandpa has an apple-head chihuahua (I am coonvince d they are named thusly for their apples for brains and not the shape of the skull) but Grandpa's dog chases tennis balls.

As soon as we show up our dog will heard a tennis ball into a corner (she can't quite pick it up) and declare it "hers". Grandpa's dog can try to get it but ours just growls until she goes away - they are about the same size although ours is probably a few pounds lighter...

it would be funny if it weren't so selfish - I know I didn't raise her that way!
