Any Loungers still awake? Pop in and say 'hi'.

I haven't been around as often as I'd like. But this is still my second home.

I miss you and I love you all...

William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day, coming up tomorrow morning!...

We go on vacation at the end of next week and frankly, I'm more than ready. I need to access a different part of my brain and let that one rest for a while.

We're up to Puerto Rico in the march. C'mon Sir Paul! C'mon torch! C'mon ZZZZzzzzzz......

Monday, I'll be up and at 'em again.

I think I've finally figured out why medical providers order lab tests: it's to buy us some time to figure out what the patient's problem is.

I think I managed to diagnose a mystery ailment from a patient from this morning. I'll ask her a few follow-ups at her next visit. Should be an easy fix...

I broke my hand 2 1/2 weeks ago, and the cast is rubbing on my wrist bone...so uncomfortable it's keeping me awake. I took some Percocet more to help me sleep than for pain, no luck yet.

You know how the more you try NOT to think about something the more you are aware of it...bah it's so annoying

But I am here enjoying the lounge and happy to say hi and hope all is well with you!

The hot water should increase blood flow to the re-modelling fracture, and ease the pain somewhat...

Thank you for saying 'hi'. Get better soon...

You could have decided to listen to all of Die Meistersingers Von Nurnberg before going to bed.

Entire empires have risen and fallen during a performance of that opera! It is looooooooooong!

And it's done now, so I'm heading for bed...

It's coming up next. I'm not a great fan of the Summer Olympics, think the Winter Games are much more exciting, but I'm grateful to have something to watch on a Friday night with nothing but prison shows on MSNBC and no Bill Maher this week...

They always do a great job with the opening, IMO, try to make it was spectacular as possible, and, so far, it looks like they're succeeding. What a huge undertaking this must be! Hell, even the commercials are entertaining! They appear to be of Superbowl caliber, made special for the Olympics. Just saw the one with James Bond, the Queen and the cute corgis...

on edit: Ooops! Maybe that wasn't a commercial...

Feeling and seeing the super positive results of the poison smoke chemicals leaving my body every day, Detoxing. I just retrained my pleasure/crave center. Re-programed my brain, saying, "hey, I'm in charge here.

I'm a night-owl. I usually go to bed between 2:30 and 3:30. I sleep until about 10 or so. Right number of hours of sleep, just different part of the day. I'm retired and don't have to be anywhere at a particular time. When I worked it was always a case of going to bed when I didn't feel like it and getting up when I didn't feel like it. Now, I just let my body-clock take over. Loved the Olympics opening tonight -- had a friend over (I have a big-screen, HD) and made strawberry shortcake, whipped cream and a pot of tea. Couldn't help but thinking Her Majesty wasn't having a good time. She was never caught on camera cracking a smile or waving at her athletes.
