(206,014 posts)I feel sorry for Dobby and the kitteh that didn't want to go outside... Reminds me of Jack when what he really wanted was another treat! And the kitteh Olympic lineup is terrific!
I've had a busy week, my friend, took little Coda to the vet 3x. He seems to have a congenital problem with his liver, is on three meds now and a special diet, brought him in twice to get him hydrated. He's lost almost a pound. He's not my puppy, but my disabled friend needs help, and I'll do whatever I can. I'm his godmother... Please keep him in your thoughts.
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,952 posts)I hope they can find a treat whatever is causing this.
Have a great Sunday.

So many goodies! Slinky dress, cheeseburger cat applicant, those beautui birds and the classic ape/kitten!
Had a sad incident the other day. Posted about the little flamepoinr who was dropped[link:www| by our shelter.
[link:http://angelawithpaws.net|
Some people brought in this dying cat that looked like a 3. Mo. Old kitten, who was actually a year oldwr.
Turns out they found her at about four weeks. Never treated her for her upper respiratory infection. Believe it or not, one gives cats medicine for their colds.
Swore they didn't have any money, so they just kept her, and she kept getting sick. Transgressed into pneumonia and ultimately a servere infection, that would have killed her. We didn't really have the $$$, but we rushed her to our vet. She was too sick to undergo Anastasia, so our vet put her down. She had to be in a terrible pain. Wasn't eating, as she couldn't smell.
I apologize for my digression, I just can't get little Bella off my mind.
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,952 posts)Never fret about sharing, we love our furfriends, and seeing them suffer hurts, as all suffering does. Tears for wee Bella and for you.

(3,908 posts)We were on vacation and our car had overheated so we stopped for about an hour to let it cool off. I didn't have the strength that day (MS) to get the radiator cap off to check to see if it needed to be filled so I asked my 12 year old son to try it. At that moment the block cracked (we didn't know that) and the oil and water mixed and it shot way up in the air and back down on my sons hand arm and face. He dashed up and washed it off and cooled it down but still had a first and few second degree burns so we decided to go to the next hospital we saw after refilling the radiator. Because of the cracked block the engine started but only got a little ways past the entrance ramp before it died forever. A couple stopped and offered us a ride to the next town but I thought that leaving the hamster in the car in the sun would kill it and there wasn't room for the cage so my son put it in his hoodie pocket. We figured we would figure out something. I still feel guilty about asking him to do that but there I was told there was no way for me to know that was going to happen.
By the time we reached the nearest phone at a gas station he was hurting and was looking not so good. The guys at the station having been burned by antifreeze mixture called an ambulance for the hospital that was back the direction we had come from. We got registered and the hamster decided he really didn't want to stay in the pocket so he kept popping out. I even went to the gift shop to try to find something, no luck. Pretty soon we had people coming to see the hamster and it turned out the staff was cool about it under the circumstances. He got medicine and pain killers and we just had to go have it checked every three days to watch for infection at urgent care facilities. The next stop on our vacation was Mammoth Cave for a few days and it was nice and cool and out of the sun so it was the perfect place for him to be.
The station towed our car in to look it over and came and picked us up at the hospital. We stayed there one night and someone brought us a borrowed car so we could continue on what turned out to be our one and only long vacation. I mailed the title to the gas station and was told someone had already wanted it to put a new engine in it. We paid for the tow and they would only take a little more for coming to fetch us at the hospital, must have been empathy. Life is sometimes an adventure.

Loved Dobby; and "four more", and ten gray puppies(glad its not me cleaning up or feeding them); "need them all" looks so accurate; "Not my fault" is perfect too; Cat Olympics is great, and the last one "feet up and out" is too precious.
Once more, THANKYOU. You sure know how to add SUNSHINE.

I'm actually angry at myself that I laughed so much at the Olympic cats...so ridiculous and cute. Not at all what adults should be focused on...well it's back to The Bible for me...you really seem familiar...

(28,349 posts)Bob the Exhibitionist is like one of my boys - Charlie Chaplin, our resident cat burglar, exhibitionist & athlete.
He splays himself out constantly everywhere he goes - lovin' those belly rubs; & he jumps the patio screen over and over and over and over and over again at night - every night, without fail. He now has Oscar, our tabby competing on who can jump highest. It's fun to watch!
He's our cat burglar because he's a huge thief and could be convicted of felonies!
He waits, usually, until we're asleep, but there are times he's brazen enough to steal in front of us (like the glasses off our faces!)
We are always looking for missing things - nail clippers, bags of dog treats, candy, nail files, ink pens, pot holders, dollar bills, jewelry, toothbrushes, you get the idea.
Last month we had a small bottle of Vicoden missing, & we were sadden to think it was a guest we had over to the house. But the next day we found it in a cache of stolen goods in the corner in our basement!
CHARLIE!
Though he may soon become a convict, we sure do love him and his awesome & loving personality.
