Did you ever own a cat with behavior carried over from previous life?

I have a sweet small tabby. Zelda. (I didn't name her.)

She has a peculiar habit: if someone is singing, Zelda runs to that person and goes nuts rubbing and cuddling. "Happy Birthday" seems to affect her even more than any other song.

I am her third owner, and I know this trait didn't start with the second owner. So sometime in her life, someone made a big deal about singing to her, apparently.

Do you have cat with a mysterious past?

on the side of a highway and brought him in. Poor guy would get upset and attack if you rubbed him the wrong way. But he was a snuggler. We got along great and he calmed down quite a bit after I had had him for years. He had not been fixed until he was two so maybe that was the reason for his aggression. I like to think he was the father of 70 so that there are many little Monsters running around Halifax, Nova Scotia area as we speak.
