Yeah. I used a Pergo knockoff from Costco. Looks great, but what a pain. Liberal Veteran Sep 2012 #3
Good luck. The "snap & lock" thing doesn't work. And you MUST leave expansion room. HopeHoops Sep 2012 #4

I tore out a dining room and family room carpet from my parent's home. Then all the old tile. Lots of clorox involved. My brother really did most of the heavy lifting. Glad it's gone!

Best of luck with your project.

It smells like fucking deep fried hell on a shit stick when you cut it!!!

I had a customer with a Pergo floor in the kitchen (previous owner had installed it). She was prepping the house for sale and wanted me to finish the job because the previous owner hadn't bothered to move the refrigerator and just left it there and intricately cut around it. So I moved the fridge out and used my "everything you need to know you learned in kindergarten" technique. I got posterboard (4/$1) at the Dollar Tree, masking tape, and a pencil. I made a map of the area and used the pencil to, well, you know like you do with a penny to make an image. Then I took the posterboard map back to my shop and used the scroll saw to cut the critical puzzle piece and the band saw to deal with the others. It fit perfectly. But it is NOT easy to assemble!

Leave at least 3/8" of room on all sides (covered by the molding) so it can float and expand - it will.
