on what appeared to be a small chocolate bar, with 'TCHO' printed on it, in the bag.
Googled it- TCHO is a small chocolate company in San Francisco. They work with the growers of cacao beans in Peru, Ecuador, Ghana, and Madagascar, and are very innovative in their chocolate making. I'll have to keep my eye out for it. Oh, just found out 5,000 Starbucks carry it- shouldn't be hard to find!

I don't know why, but this got me all misty eyed. I think it's because it gave another boost to my hope for humanity.

After this week, I think I'm in love with 65% of our nation. I promise to be my normal cynical, yet fatally optimistic self, next week.

I just woke up and I'm in tears. There is always hope, always love and always compassion.

Thank you and know that you've started my day with something beautiful.

The internet is often a dark, cold place, but every now and now you find a gem like that in my link. It's at the top of my bookmark list, and I reread it when things are particularly bad.

I now have lolcats to make me laugh

And this site to make me cry (happy tears). There are certain times I will really need this.

we would put her in her car seat on the table in our booth at the local Shoney's.

We got so used to everybody coming by and stopping to comment on how beautiful she was and goo-goo at her that
when one person just walked up to the counter without paying any attention to us
we looked at each other commenting "Gee! I wonder what's the matter with HIM!?" LOL

everything is usually cool. Our 17 month old has flown a couple times and handles it better than most adults

A group of the passengers came together and suggested that the little tyke might be happier somewhere else....like on the wing.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding...I put up with it and (tried) to take it all with a grain of salt.

but I would never take my 3 month old baby on a flight, unless it was an emergency

maybe it was....but, if it was an emergency, how did they have enough time to buy the candies, pack the candies and print the little note?

yeah, I may be a cynic....but one wonders.....

you had the time to take out of your cynical day to write this post.

I once had emergency surgery, but I still had time to write a message and update my will.

One wonders.

now I won't be able to sleep tonight .....crap

I have alot of free time these days, that is how I had the time to write this cynical post.

I just asked a question...no need to get so butt hurt.....So, writing a message and a will is the same as going to a grocery store, buying candy and then coming home to print 100 messages, cutting them to size and attaching them to a baggie, whilst watching newborn twins is the same as your surgery...methinks NOT

My parents flew back from Paris with 15 children that were to be adopted....way back in the early 60s....many passengers were asked to "take care" of an infant on the way home...I have a heart my dear....just wondering about the circumstances surrounding this

Gotta love DU and the caring folk online.....wait, are you from TX?

Actually they dont bother me at all, I just put my earplugs in my ears and turn up the IPOD so I can't hear the little one. My kids didn't fly until they were 3 and 5, they were very good kids in the plane, they slept most of the time the whole flight.

But, that is a cute idea, what they did.
