First of all, congratulations. I was among the DU users who greeted the earliest iterations with 'WTF?!'

Secondly, I get that upgrading an airplane in flight is tricky.

So, why not launch the new, under construction, site with an accompanying classic view that preserved the old DU while all of the revisions were fine-tuned?

After all, 'major patch' and 'dozens of small changes' strongly suggests that the initial launch was........premature.

Managing fixing and enhancements is much easier when done incrementally. Otherwise, you can chase your tail with figuring out the causes of bugs. There is a lot of backend work that users never see. I agree with their approach.

That was taking up too much space.
