Dallas superstar Larry Hagman admits he relies on a new medicine to help him over his liver cancer - marijuana.
The actor who found global celebrity playing the evil JR in the series about seriously rich oil folk - and who now aged 80 is finding new fans as he reprises his role - says smoking dope 'is much better than alcohol or tobacco and hasn't killed anyone.'
It was alcohol that brought Hagman to the brink of death and resulted in a liver transplant in 1995 that saved his life.
He was diagnosed with throat cancer last year and underwent treatment.
In the latest issue of Bunte Magazine out on Thursday in Germany he said he views the drug as 'a medicine,' adding: 'The cancer and the chemotherapy really took it out of me.

back in the late '70s/early '80s that said he took one day every week where he intentionally would not say one word to anyone all day...he also led a parade down the beach once carrying a large flag with a marijuana leaf on it.
