I met an ex Indiana State Police Officer today.

I say "ex" because he was confined to a wheelchair by a .45 caliber bullet that had hit him in the head and made him a paraplegic.

After talking with him for a few minutes it became apparent that he still had a lot of anger about it- and I don't blame him for that anger at all. He'd paid too high a price in the performance of his duty and he will continue to pay for the rest of his life.

I never did get his name, but I salute him and all his brother and sister cops nonetheless.
