My parents had me in a very homogenous life. On that show I saw my first African American.
A very tall (to me), very black man.
On tv the world got to see me staring in amazement and wonder at this, what I thought, gladiator/Jesus figure.
I always thought Jesus was black or at least much darker than I . So I was rapt.
