Also the scene from the first episode when Toby and President Bartlet eviscerate the “Let’s deal” woman and the guy who gets the commandments wrong.

I was hooked right there.

however I missed first season, as I was WORKING, in DC, NEAR the Capitol, at the time! Have my own set now.

If it was on HBO, we didn’t get that, or it may well have been that we were busy going to our son’s soccer games.
