When I post something stupid...

Is there a way I can make it so it never happened?

I know you can delete a post, but I want to make it like it never happened so I don't get embarrassed.

Admins: Can you get on this right away?

Hurry up.

Thank you in advance.

Letting go is not accomplished by fighting the recurring thoughts. Greet them (hello old friend) and then open a window in your mind and let a puff of fresh mental air and a sigh blow them away. As many times as it happens, don't combat them, acknowledge them and let them go.

What's done is done. No point in crying over spilt milk. The hand of time, having writ, moves on.

Worry about the things you can change (you did by self-deleting something, and also you did by posting the OP). Don't worry about what you can't change (replies). Seek the wisdom to tell the two apart.

By making that important distinction, it is easier to let go. Practice simply by doing, as needed.

But doing so would conceivably also remove any responses to your post. So even if you feel your post was embarrassment-inducing, I'm betting the people that responded to you don't feel the same way about their posts and would like them to remain. My .02.

i quickly look around and find someone else’s post that is embarrassing and point to THAT post so no one notices my post.

in fact that’s what i’m doing now…can you guide me to the post you want everyone to not see?
