We went to see it as a family on the eve of my mom's college roommate's funeral. I was so sad and down. I never thought that I would laugh again. I remember at the end when he shoo's the audience away and says go home. I laughed and I laughed. It was very cathartic.

laughed so hard in places that I couldn't hear the ensuing dialogue.

I recently tried re-watching it. Gave up after about 15 minutes because it was so dated, so not very funny that it was tragic.

Some things just don't age well.

I was under quite trying circumstances at the time, and this movie let me feel like a regular person for a while. 🧡 (Things did improve some weeks later 👍 )

And I've rewatched it a bunch of times! Been quite a while. Will have to see if any of my streaming services have it. 👍

The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming was funny and, I hope, will be again. At the moment, it just breaks my heart.

It's the quintessential 1930s slapstick comedy. It's got the stars, too -- Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn.

"Why do you want to find George?" (George is a dog.)

"Because he knows where my intercostal clavicle is!"

I just crack up every time I hear that line.

Fields in a train under attack throws an arrow out the window and says “I hate you” in an inexplicably hilarious way.

Very funny.

Kelsey Grammar as Lt. Cmdr. Tom Dodge who is assigned as Captain to the USS Stingray, an old diesel driven submarine that has seen better days.

The first time I watched this I was laughing so hard I had to pause the movie various times!



It is a prerequisite that you are very familiar with the Star Trek series, especially the first one with Captain Kirk.
