Personal space

Yesterday mine was infiltrated in a way I have never experienced.

Standing in Goodwill looking at some necklaces as I am rehanging one of my crystals.

I hear a loud man at the register but don’t really listen. I am doing MY own thing. A very short time later, this person is at my back close enough I feel the heat and he whispers in my ear! (I have never seen this person, do not know them)

I jumped! And I literally screamed HOLY FUCK!!! In a pretty quiet Goodwill…😳

Whew. I tell ya what. This man thought he was the shit and had the unmitigated gall to approach someone (female I am) in a public place in that way. WTAF?!

I can still hear the scream.

Do you know what he said to me as I told him to get the fuck away from me?
“Well, that wasn’t the response I expected!”

Cashier was by my side within a few seconds asking if I was OK. I appreciate that.

Yep, white male, entitled fuck, thinks shit don’t stink. Fuck that guy! And every one like him!

Every male friend I have now, and every friend I have ever had, would be right there with me. And with you. And yes we have done that.

We have wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers, female friends and nieces, and all deserve protection as needed.

Not trying to be noble, this just pisses me off.

So, self removal…

I was froze in body but not in motor mouth.
All I could do basically was cuss. I don’t know why except that he had gotten into my space so quick and quietly that my physical (fight/flight) response was behind my verbal abilities.

I don’t even know what he whispered.
All of a sudden he was there and that is the first time in my life I have felt threatened in that manner -so alien!
