I should have posted this earlier I just didn't think anyone would be all that interested.
My wife has been picked. 18 months to learn more about Pittsburgh than my wife and I ever wanted. Pittsburgh is a nice place to visit for a game or event but to go there once a month for 1-3 days is just annoying as hell.
I went to visit family south of pittsburgh after dropping off my wife and I went back to Pittsburgh later in the afternoon. I ended up parking by the Greyhound station and I did find a place that made a chicken sandwich I want to have again. I'm terrible at remembering names but it was a french place I think.
So any suggestions of places I should try or anything you'd like to suggest just let me know.

(12,008 posts)it's in an old church. I guess just google it... that's what I'd have to do to tell you the name. I was only in Pittsburgh once, but that was the best place we went.

The court house won't pay for a hotel room but I will because it is probably easier for us in the long run.

(1 post)I saw your note about your upcoming trip to Pittsburgh. There are some great places to eat in downtown Pittsburgh. I love Diamond Market and and almost all of the restaurants in Market Square. On Thursday and Friday there is a ton of activity in the Square. Hopefully, if you have an experience there, it will change your mind and you will think it is worth the trip. Regarding parking, there's a web site you can go to to tell you where to park and in real time it will tell you how many spaces are left in that lot. http://www.downtownpittsburgh.com/getting-around/parking This web site tells you a lot about what is going on as well.
Also, try going on www.visitpittsburgh.com to learn what is going on in the City. You can also call Nancy Reynolds 412-281-7711 ext. 5520.
